Valentine's Day is my birthday, so it's extra special for my family. We often have made some special treats for my son to take to school and me to take to my co-workers, and we make time for lots of hugs in the morning. It's too busy in the restaurants to go out for supper, so we just have a dinner at home and exchange cards. A great day to have a birthday!
We make Valentine and hearts the theme of the day. We bake heart shaped cookies and decorate them with icing and sugar. We also have heart shaped pancakes and heart shaped grilled cheese sandwiches. They will also get a little valentine surprise from hubby and I after breakfast.

We had breakfast for dinner with heart shaped pancakes with strawberries.

I decorate the kitchen table the night before and fill their Valentine's Day mailboxes with little treats for them to wake up to. I make them a special breakfast. Heart shaped watermelon is always a hit with my kids!

We have a craft day every Saturday with our friends and all our kiddos. From sand art to tie dye they love it!!
